Deep Field Microscopy
|
FREE software for deep field microscopy |
|
| When photographing objects through a microscope or via basic macro photography, it is not possible to get all aspects
into focus. This limitation is the result of depth of field restrictions in the properties of lenses. Back in 1996,
we opened up debate pn this topic with our original article (take a look here),
and now it is possible to produce images which defeat this limitation. Alan Hadley has developed software to help you produce images via Macro-photography, or through photographs captured through a microscope, such that all levels into the subject are rebuilt and in focus. This type of software has been produced before by commercial companies but at a price which prohibited its purchase by enthusiasts. Now, through the good will and extraordinary programming skills of Alan Hadley, this software is freely available to you. Well done Alan!
