The improved microtome in use

Just in case you missed the video example in part 1 of this project, I have provided it again here. Take a look because it shows me cutting hand sections from a wax block using a plane iron on a modified Brunel Bench Microtome!

We only need to learn now how to sharpen a plane iron to achieve a perfect cutting edge then we will be ready to cut our first sections. If you have any questions so far, don't be shy of writing to me!
