Tardigrades or 'water bears' are masters of survival. These tiny animals with their eight stumpy legs need a liquid environment. If the water evaporates they form a perfect time capsule. As a little 'tun' they will survive and will often be transported by the wind until they find a new suitable liquid environment. They can withstand the most harsh environments (cold, heat, even a vacuum)
