Microscope objective assembly (with home-made lamp house 12v 20 Watt halogen dichroic)......,"Leitz Wetzlar"

Is this "through the lens" top illumination intended for metallurgy?.

I intend to build or adapt a microscope body for these objectives. What type of eyepiece do I need?

What tube length would they work with and should there be an intermediate lens?

The assembley came from a car boot,unused,perfect condition,one advantage of living in Cambridge as

a university town. See attached photo files

I have susbstituted Inf on the lens body engravings for the actual  "8 on it's side"  marking.

there is no indication of cover slip thickness, is this because they are only intended for use with

reflected rather than transmitted light?
