Radiolarians from the bottom of the Atlantic ocean, from the Cape Basin. Radiolarians are unicellular marine organisms that build a glass-like skeleton of silica, often with a very refined design. It has a delicate open framework since the living organism is equipped with radiating axopodia, tentacle-like projections. The Radiolaria are related to the Heliozoa.
