I photographed overviews of each piece of candy using a copystand setup with four flashes angled at 45 degrees. I shot my images with a Canon EOS 1 with a 100 mm f/2.8 lens. My shutter speed was 1/60 s and I used varying apertures depending on the piece of candy I was shooting.

For the 1 X and 5 X shots, I used the Zeiss Stemi 2000 CS with an AxioCam HRc. I used the Zeiss Axiovision software to acquire my images. I lit my subjects using fiberoptic lights. Each 1 X or 5 X photograph on my website is a composite of anywhere between 3 - 10 images. I used Helicon focus to stitch together images with various areas in focus to get maximum image sharpness.
