'Stuart R Stidolph Diatom Atlas' by S.R. Stidolph, F.A.S. Sterrenburg, K.E.L. Smith,and A. Kraberg. A free online resource published by the USGS with 54 plates each showing multiple species. USGS Abstract: "... a comprehensive volume of diatom taxa identified and micrographed by Stuart R. Stidolph during the 1980s and 1990s. The samples were collected from marine coasts of various geographic regions within tropical and subtropical climates. The plates included within this report have never been published and are being published by the USGS as an online reference so that others may have access to this incredible collection."
