My journey into microscopy (a very practical use for my scope) PDF - J. Clark (UK). We welcome a new contributor this month. The author shares experiences of the use of a microscope for learning how to estimate faecal egg counts of worms in the horses owned.

Shifting Paradym? - Dale Jeffrey (Canada). Dale presents an essay that reflects on the impact which the proof of life beyond earth would have on how we view ourselves.

My Micscape experience DOCX- Alejandro Arriel Garcia Arriaga (Mexico). Alejandro relates how he has found past contributors' articles valuable for his own studies. PDF

Diatom imaging tests of Edmund 60X 0.85 NA and LOMO 30X 0.90 NA objectives - Ted Clark (USA) shares his assessments of two good value objectives using Klaus Kemp's 8 form diatom test plate.

Some ant micros PDF - Anthony Thomas (Canada) shares some striking images of ants which he finds locally with notes on their features .

The desmid Micrasterias rotata DOCX - Stephen Durr (UK) illustrates this attractive algae found in freshwater habitats. PDF

DIY 3D microscopy. Part 1 DOCX - Alejandro Arriel Garcia Arriaga (Mexico) shows how image software can produce 3D type effects. PDF
