New book: Spiders of North America: an identification manual. A valuable new guide for the naturalist with proceeds going to the American Arachnological Society. (Thank you to David Richman a co-author of eight chapters of the book for highlighting its publication in the Yahoo Microscope forum).

MiXscope version 2.0 software released: MiXscope is software for MacOS 10.2+ users and who use the QX3/QX3+, QX5 and MiScope digital microscopes. The software can be downloaded from http://www.edhsw.com/mixscope. Thank you to Eric Hangstefer, the software writer for this info'.
